Summertime, a fun time to be outdoors and to be active. Whether you’re at the lake, at the beach, or just sitting around on your porch in the long daylight hours at home, this is a time to get out and have fun. The summer months also offer great vaping weather, too. However, you can run into some problems with overheating (your MOD) if you aren’t careful. If you enjoy being outdoors during the summer, but you also love the experience of vaping, then you want to avoid overheating your MOD.
With that said, here are a few simple ways to keep your MOD from overheating during these long, hot days.
For starters, you should never leave your e-liquid bottles or tanks in direct sunlight, inside a hot vehicle, or anywhere where temperatures can get extreme. This may seem like common sense, but many vapers don’t realize how hot it gets inside a vehicle and how fast the temps rise. This can affect your MOD and cause a multitude of problems as the liquids start to break down and become discolored when overheated along with the fact that changes in flavor occur and that can be quite unpleasant to say the least when you’re taking a hit from your device.
As for the device itself, the batteries can be damaged and start to lose their charge faster. Another major concern is that if the battery gets too hot then it can potentially explode which can be dangerous.
Another tip for keeping your MOD cool this summer and to avoid overheating is to put your MOD and your e-juices in a plastic container inside a cooler when not using them. This will be very convenient, especially when out on a boat or hanging out the lake or beach with friends. Chances are you will bring along some cool beverages for your fun in the sun, so a cooler or ice chest will come in handy for your MOD also. If you don’t have a cooler and there’s shade nearby, then you can place a blanket over your MOD to keep it from being exposed to direct heat and that can also prevent overheating.
If you must leave it in your vehicle, then it’s best to put in a place where it’s not exposed to direct sunlight, such as under the dashoard or in the trunk. If you must do this, then it’d be best to park your car in the shade with the windows cracked down just a bit. It can get hot in a vehicle extremely fast so you need to do this for the sake of your MOD.
So as you can see, there are different options to keeping your MOD from overheating this summer, so that you can enjoy vaping outdoors without any real concerns of your accessories, and of course your device, possibly getting damaged.
